Larry Madowo is a July baby.
Seeing as he has been away working in London, he came back home to celebrate his big 31. Born on the 14th July 1987, the former NTV journalist was surprised by close family and friends to a dinner.
Larry Madowo’s private party was attended by the who-is-who in media, among them K24’s Ciru Muriuki, his sister Liz Madowo, NTV news anchor Trevor Ombija among others.
This comes after he was to head BBC’s business desk in Africa.
“I GREW UP ADMIRING THE QUALITY OF JOURNALISM THE BBC PRODUCES AROUND THE WORLD AND IT IS AN HONOUR TO BE A PART OF A BOLD NEW TEAM THAT WILL TELL AUTHENTIC AFRICAN STORIES FOR AUDIENCES ACROSS MULTIPLE PLATFORMS.”SAID LARRY
The BBC Africa appointed Larry as a business editor who will lead the Business unit.
Larry was among the first people to exit NTV and he was followed by almost the whole crew including his TV wife, Victoria Rubadiri who is now at Citizen TV.
The two media houses have been competing to capture the attention of their fans with videos introducing the new team of anchors.
Here is how Larry Madowo’s birthday dinner went down:
