In a statement on Wednesday by DPP ordered the arrested of Keroche CEO, Tabitha Karanja and her husband over tax evasion worth more than 14 billion.

Karanja released a statement saying the company has not been involved in tax evasion and said it was inappropriate for the firm to be subjected to "humiliation and intimidation".

Today, Keroche CEO Tabitha Karanja has been arrested by the DCI detectives at the breweries premises in Naivasha.

KRA officials and DCI detectives had camped at the premises for the better part of Thursday morning following her arrest order by DPP Noordin Haji.

Keroche breweries directors have filed an application seeking anticipatory bail. But the High court Deputy registrar has forwarded the file to Mombasa where all Judges are having their annual colloquium.
