Mothers across the world are celebrating World Breastfeeding Week, something that we should all embrace. Mothers have been bashed a number of times for breastfeeding in public.
Pierra Makena is among the mothers in town who are celebrating this moment. She took to social media, stating that her daughter is not about to stop breastfeeding.
She wrote, “My baby has decided she is not about to stop breastfeeding…..well.. mom cannot work and everything has to stand still if its time….happy breastfeeding week pumpkin. Or should i say last week 🤣🤣🤣🤣…Guess who is going to Shagz for two weeks….lol!! Its about time love……😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
Lynda Nyangweso also took to social media to celebrate this day writing, “Happy #worldbreastfeedingweek . It’s been so long since I was a nursing mom but not enough time has passed that I forgot the struggle. Yes, breast is best. And if you can, feed your child for as long as you want, wherever you seem fit and hold on to those cuddles even that dreaded 4am feed, treasure it, it’ll be over so fast. However, not everyone can. And that’s ok too. For me breastfeeding was great bonding but I couldn’t sufficiently feed my child. There’s no shame in supplementing with formula. I’ll say it again for the mom shamers at the back. AIN’T NO SHAME IN YOUR TINNED MILK GAME!!! it is keeping your child alive. Celebrate the power that a womans body has today. You have life giving power. And you are feeding the next president, inventor, innovator, beyonce…..the list goes on. More power to ya mama!”
