In an Instagram post, the lounge explained why Wizkid did not show up for the pre-party appearance last Friday that had left many of his fans baffled.
“We apologize for letting our esteemed patrons…Wizkid had just flown in after a hectic few days and his team saw it fit to give him a rest before the main show,” Read part of the post.
The 'Soco Soco' hitmaker was scheduled to land in Nairobi on Thursday last week but according to a source, he missed two of his flights from Dubai and only managed to land on Friday just before noon.
Event organisers rushed to have him issue a press conference in a bid to counter emerging rumours that the Nakuru show had been cancelled.
"This resulted to the organizers running a crush media tour with the fatigued artiste with his management deeming it fit to have him cancel any other nocturnal engagements."
The lounge also shared a video of Wizkid partying at the lounge with Sauti Sol, Shappaman from camp mulla amongst other artistes on Sunday night upon his return to the capital from the Nakuru concert.
