Prezzo and Gabu have voiced concern over Jaguar's recent xenophobic statements.
The statements he said have actually landed the Starehe member of parliament in hot soup as he was arrested by officers from the DCI:
And the remarks that have his fellow artistes up in arms were:
”IF YOU ASSESS OUR MARKETS, UGANDANS AND TANZANIANS HAVE TAKEN OVER OUR BUSINESSES… NOW WE ARE SAYING ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. IF A 24-HOUR ULTIMATUM IS NOT ENOUGH FOR THEM TO BE DEPORTED, WE WILL REMOVE THEM AND WE’LL BEAT THEM UP AND WE WILL NOT FEAR ANYONE,”
Prezo was the first to voice his displeasure on the matter saying:
And on his part, what Gabu from P-Unit said was:
I write this as a Kenyan and as a friend to Hon.. Its unfortunate that there are emotions controlling the narative but my prayer is that this will not ruin our brotherhood with Tanzania but also the intimate issues raise by Hon.Jaguar will be addressed that if citizens from other countries will be allowed to work in Kenya let it be done legally with legit work permits but Kenyans be given the ultimate priority and the same as in other countries,In the spirit of fixing the already delicate EAC community, there should be fair level ground playing interms of business operation. The econimical success of Kenya or Tanzania or Uganda or Rwanda is the success of all the EAC block. Soberness is important in handling this issue but all in all tukutane kiwanjani kesho TZ vs KENYA
