Baby Sussex have finally been revealed to the world as Archie Harrison, and from his mother's maternity wardrobe to his birth at a private hospital birth, his arrival has been a rather costly affair.

During Meghan's pregnancy, she enjoyed a New York baby shower, where she took over a New York penthouse with her celebrity pals, and also went on a £33,000 spa babymoon with Harry just weeks before the birth.

Throughout the nine months her maternity wardrobe, which consisted of many designer labels amounted to over half a million. And like any mother-to-be, she also indulged in some treatments - including acupuncture at a West London spa.

Meghan was also said to be whisked off to a private hospital to give birth to Archie, instead of having the home birth she was hoping for.

The total of her pregnancy and birth comes to £1.10 million. Here Femail reveals just how much Meghan's pregnancy cost...

The Duchess wore a gold and turquoise necklace from Jennifer Meyer which cost £576, sandy beige heels from Manolo Blanik for £495 and also a white belted blazer dress by British designer Grace Wales Bonner - with her pieces starting from around £800.

While the couple also swaddled their son Archie in a £105 merino wool shawl and £65 hat by G.H. Hurt & Son for the photocall in St George's Hall, Windsor Castle, this afternoon.

The move marks a continuation of some 70 years of royal tradition, with new parents including the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh, Prince Charles and Princess Diana, and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge all choosing to swaddle their children in shawls from the company on their public debuts.

Meghan's baby shower in New York was a star-studded affair, with guests such as tennis player Serena Williams and Amal Clooney attending.
