Little known rapper BT Boy has been thrust into the limelight after he featured Al Shabaab bride, Violet Kemunto in his music video, six years ago.

BT Boy's chune, Njoo Kwangu, is a love song whose theme is about a lovelorn man begging the love of his life, to accept his affection and leave the bad boys who are "constantly making her cry".

The rapper cast Violet Kemunto in the role of the love interest. The video is now receiving a lot of interest after it was reported that Violet was married to Ali Salim Gichunge, one of the gunmen who attacked 14 Riverside Drive.

The husband, was later killed by security forces who stopped the terrorist attack hours after it commenced.

Violet is currently in police custody after she was arrested a few days back. But it looks like back in the day, she was a video vixen.

In the music video, Violet seemed to have already converted to Islam because her head was covered in a black headscarf and she is wearing a long conservative skirt in the video.

BT Boy's lyrics prophetically point out to her current dilemma.

"I promise I am not like those others who made you cry. I love you. I will protect you, I will TREASURE you."

The lyrics continue: "Come to my place, I will treat you like and egg and make you happy always."
