The multi-talented singer, who was brought up in humble beginnings was exposed to the hard life in slums but this did not make him join gangs, use drugs or steal from people.
This life hardened him until one day when he was rescued by a caucasian woman who took him to the ABC Kenya children’s home, where he finally got the chance to attend school. It's also at the children's home where Bahati accepted Jesus Christ as the Saviour of his life.
Recently, Bahati was visited by the woman he considers as his second mother and the two dined together.

The CEO of EMB records is among the few celebrities who give back to the society and just the way he was rescued by someone else, Bahati also adopted a son Morgan and two daughters.
