The star died in Kenya where he was visiting to work with a number of artistes among them Paddy Makani and Disco Longwa.
Mose collapsed on Friday and was pronounced dead on arrival at a hospital in Kasarani, Nairobi, his producer Tabu Osusa told media outlets.
In a past interview with NTV back in 2017. He was asked what was the inspiration behind his monster hit, Papa Lolo.
"Papa Lolo is a love song. I composed the song to express my hurt and pain in losing someone I love. After my son died, I composed the song putting in all the emotion saying how 'God has taken you, I cannot see you, you are being buried and I'm not there'."
Adding, "Later I went to the studio and composed the song to include my message to people I love, family and friends who buried my son."
Asked if he thought the song would be a monster hit, Mose Fan Fan said:
"Yes. Because when you compose a song you have a sense of whether it will be a hit or not. When I composed it in the studio I was alone. The song made it as the last song in the record and it was a hit."
From us at Kiss100.co.ke, we send our sincere condolences to the family and friends of Mase Fan Fan. May he rest in peace.
