Murang'a women Rep Sabina Chege has rubbished rumors going round that she had a child with legendary singer John De Mathew.
She also clarified rumors that she had a romantic relationship with the singer.
I have never been John De Mathew's lover. Please respect my family and children,' she said while addresing mmourners at Githambia Primary school in Gatanga.
Adding,
Those of you who are saying I had a child with De Mathew, you could have seen her/him here today.
Sabina went ahead to tell rumourmongers to respect her as well.
Apart from being in politics, I'm also a mother and demand my respect.
The woman rep was featured in one of De Mathew's videos Njata Yakwa (My Star) as a video vixen and talking about how they met, she said,
I was an actress in Tausi (famous TV show that ruled the airwaves back in the 90s) and during those times I met John De Mathew. I was the producer of his first song.
