Sauti Sol has decided to speak out against xenophobic attacks currently underway against foreigners in South Africa. What is interesting is that the group was just in South Africa afew weeks ago where they were putting the finishing touches on their albums.
Sauti Sol had been sharing photos of themselves in Sandton, Gauteng which is near one of the scenes of the worst of the xenophobic attacks -Joburg CBD.
The group shared the following on their social media account:
Black on black violence is the worst kind of violence.#XenophobiaInSouthAfrica 😪😭
When 2 brothers fight a foreigner inherits their land. #XenophobiaInSouthAfrica
Several artistes have also spoken out about the matter with Burna Boy even going after his erstwhile friend AKA who had reportedly tweeted some insulting tweets during the AFCOn Cup when Nigeria was playing against South Africa in a match we won.
