Francia Raisa, Selena Gomez' best friend and kidney donor says the pop singer Selena Gomez narrowly escaped death following the procedure. In an interview with W magazine, she talked about the struggles Selina went through during the kidney transplant last summer.
"Recovery was hard. I didn't want to eat, I didn't want to drink anything. Selena did have a complication, too. A few hours after our surgery, I woke up and had a text from her that said she was really scared. Her kidney was very active, and when it turned she broke an artery. They had to take her into emergency surgery and get a vein from her leg and build a new artery to keep my kidney in place. She could have died."
Francia Raisa said that they did nit want to tell anyone what they were going through because that was one depressing time for them and all they wanted was a normal life with no attention focused on them much.
Selena and her best friend Francia are recovering pretty well and enjoying 2018. I mean have you seen her in the new series Grown-ish?
