Soulja Boy has been placed under arrest for violating the terms of his probation.

The Cut Dat Check rapper, 28, was apprehended while meeting with his probation officer on Friday morning in the San Fernando Valley area of Southern , according to .

His arrest came after authorities found ammunition at his home when cops executed a search warrant at the rapper's residence back in February.

The terms of his probation, which stem from a 2014 firearms charge, strictly forbid the Chicago-born artist from possessing any guns or ammunition.

The rapper was put in custody in Van Nuys, California before being released. He is set to appear in front of a judge later Friday.

Soulja, whose real name is DeAndre Cortez Way, was found with ammo one month ago when the cops searched his home in response to a woman who claimed he had held her hostage in his garage.

But they waited until his probation meeting to make the arrest.

This isn't the first time that the rapper has been caught violating the terms of his probation.

Just hours before his reported arrest, the Crank That rapper seemed in high spirits on social media.

Less than two hours before his reported arrest, he shared two shots of himself relaxing and smoking a blunt, one captioned 'Blessed' while the other was captioned: 'Stay focused!'

The rapper was also slated to perform at a Clipper's basketball game tonight. It's unclear whether or not he'll be able to make his performance.
