Celebrated rapper Calvo Mistari and renowned Kenyan duo Amos and Josh started the year on a very high note by making women blush with their latest project.
The rapper and the talented singers have collaborated on a new inspirational song dubbed Urembo which celebrates women. It also defines what real beauty is, and in this case, it’s all about character.
According to the artistes, the new song was inspired by the need for men to talk directly to women on what they view beauty as, and this is not about just the physical appearance, but a girl’s personality and mentality about life.
At the same time, the song somehow demystifies the stereotype that exposing your body as a lady will make men be attracted to you, or the fact that becoming a socialite is the best way out for today’s girls who don’t have a real job.
Basically, Calvo Mistari, Amos, and Josh want women to appreciate themselves despite their physical appearance and realize that inner beauty is what men care about, even if they seem to give a lot of attention to outward appearance at times.
The song has a slow but catchy beat and the talented artistes actually dropped the audio at the start of January 2017. They have officially released the music video, which is colorful and oh so magnificent, featuring Kenya’s top female celebrities.
In the music video, Calvo Mistari features some of the biggest and stunning female celebrities, like our very own Adelle Onyango, singer Sage, Kambua, Phy, Kalekye Mumo, TV host Deedee, Mwalimu Rachel and more.
Calvo Mistari and Josh were at Kiss FM studios to officially launch the video to Urembo and during the interview, they revealed what was the inspiration behind the song, and their take on ladies who become socialites to become successful in life.
They also talked about the women celebrities in Kenya who they value, and respect because of their hard work, commendable personality and beauty.
Listen to the audio below to get all the juicy details about this new song below as Calvo Mistari and Josh have a candid talk on what true beauty means for them…
Bongo artiste Ommy Dimpoz has over the years become a household name in Tanzania, and has battled it out with the likes of Diamond Platnumz, Alikiba, Rich Mavoko, Nahreel and many others, in the competitive music industry.
Ommy Dimpoz has also worked with Kenyan artistes like Avril in their romantic songs dubbed Hello Baby and Victoria Kimani as well, in one of the biggest songs of 2014, Prokoto also featuring Diamond Platnumz.
Talking of Diamond Platnumz, the two Bongos stars have not seen eye to eye in the last couple of months, after falling out due to different reasons.
Early 2015, Ommy Dimpoz and Diamond’s ex girlfriend Wema Sepetu were spotted cuddling in a bed and though everyone thought they were dating, the two came out to reveal that they were just close friends working on a song together.
Chibu Dangote never commented on the issues but the beef started getting messy and later on, the two would accuse each other of blasphemy, with Ommy claiming that Diamond stole his music ideas that he used on his song, Number One.
Ommy Dimpoz recently dropped a new song with top singer Alikiba, where they also talked about artistes who buy YouTube videos to boost their numbers, with fans interpretting that said person was Diamond Platnumz.
Away from all that, Ommy Dimpoz seems to have gotten himself in more drama after rumours that he’s being ‘kept’ by a sugar mummy started flying around. According to reports from Bongo land, the Baadae singer is allegedly being supported financially by an older, white, woman, whom he’s also living with.
But now, the singer has come out to vehemently deny the claims, saying that he currently resides in Mikocheni Dar es Salaam, and not in Mbezi, and has never dated an elderly white woman.
DJ Creme De La Creme is one of Kenya’s top disc jockeys and over the years, he has proved to be good at what he does by giving his fans the best of music mixes all over Africa.
Though he has a budding career, that almost came to a halt early in 2016 when his sex tape was leaked and in the video, you can see him getting intimate with a lady only identified as Halima.
This was one of the hardest times in DJ Creme’s life, keeping in mind that he’s a father of two, as well as being husband to his beautiful and amazing wife Denise, who maintained silence during the whole saga.
DJ Creme later come out to apologize for embarrassing his family and more so his children, revealing that he wasn’t aware that the video still existed… but that’s all in the past now. The entertainer picked up the pieces and put the scandal behind him.
DJ Creme, real name, George Njuguna, is back on the grind and recently he dropped his new project featuring top ragga artiste Redsan and sassy Chocolate City songstress Victoria Kimani dubbed Live It Up.
When he’s not out making money, DJ Creme spends quality time with his family and is always sharing cute photos of them on social media, and recently, he flaunted his wife’s curves to his fans.
In the photos, the stunning lass takes a photo in the mirror, wearing a cute cover up swimsuit that enhances her curves as their daughter also rocks a cute baby bikini, as she kisses her image on the mirror.
He shared the cute photo with a caption that read; “Swimming Plan With Girls.. The ☀ is Out.. #LiveItUp . 😍” . Dudes, ogle your eyes to the steamy photo below!
He was previously known as Rabbit (Kaka Sungura) before he changed his stage name to King Kaka. The quality of his music has however remained the same over the years with dope rap songs that always excite his fans.
King Kaka real name, Kevin Ombima, is one of the most celebrated Hip-Hop crooners in the Kenyan music industry. He has moved up from his days back when he was a new rugged artiste, to becoming the King of rap in the local showbiz.
The Mr.254 hitmaker is also the founder of Kaka Empire music label which has signed the likes of singer Avril, rapper Femi One, and formerly Rich Mavoko who moved to Wasafi Records owned by Diamond Platnumz.
Other than his sick punchlines and rap skills, King Kaka is also a doting father to his two daughters one with his current girlfriend Nana and the other from his former flame, singer Sage. Despite his busy schedule, he always finds quality time to spend with them.
Other than dropping hardcore Hip-Hop tracks, King Kaka also has some of the most emotional and touching songs that are mostly tributes to fallen heroes and loved ones who have passed away. These include; Papa ft Elani, Promised Land ft Amos & Josh and Baadaye.
King Kaka was hosted on Kiss FM by Adelle Onyango and Shaffie Weru to officially drop the new song and while at it, he revealed the inspiration behind the emotional song. He also talked about his musical journey and how his fans have played a big part of his success.
It turns out that King Kaka actually lost a very close person who was dear to him, and sadly, it was a child. Listen to the full story below and get all the details. So, heart-wrenching…

Growing up in the Knowles house was like growing up in a greenhouse of talents, something these two know better than anyone.
Beyonce has taken on the role of ‘journalist’ to delve into her sister Solange’s world for the latest issue of Interview Magazine.
With her big sister at the wheel, the 30-year-old indie music darling did not hold back when discussing her drive to create and her surprising love for reality television.
While it has long been suggested that Solange struggled growing up in her big sister’s shadow, it seems it was Beyonce who looked up to the younger member of the Knowles family.
Beyonce kicked off their chat by saying: ‘I’m so happy to interview you because, clearly, I’m your biggest fan and I’m super proud of you.
The Single Ladies hitmaker says she knew early on her sister was ‘going to be something super special’ as she even at 10, Solange was ‘obsessed with Alanis Morissette and Minnie Riperton and mixing prints with her clothes’.
Solange says she was just drawn to expressing herself: ‘I remember having so much perspective about my voice, and how to use my voice, at such a young age – whether it was through dance, poetry, or coming up with different projects.
‘I guess I always felt a yearning to communicate – I had a lot of things to say. And I appreciated y’all’s patience in the house during all of these different phases. They were not ever very introverted, quiet phases.’
Happy to tolerate her little sister’s less than quiet stages, the 35-year-old recalled the Seat At The Table creator always seeming to know what she wanted.
Making them both laugh, Solange says: ‘I always knew what I wanted. We damn sure know that I wasn’t always right. But I’d sit firm, whether I was right or wrong.
‘I guess a part of that was being the baby of the family and being adamant that, in a house of five, my voice was being heard. Another part is that I remember being really young and having this voice inside that told me to trust my gut. And my gut has been really, really strong in my life. It’s pretty vocal and it leads me. Sometimes I haven’t listened, and those times didn’t end up very well for me.
Solange says her mother Tina and Beyonce are intuitive people and have inspired her to be the same. She also credits Beyonce and her mom for making her realise the power of being your own boss.
‘Growing up in a household with a master class such as yourself definitely didn’t hurt.
‘And, as far back as I can remember, our mother always taught us to be in control of our voice and our bodies and our work, and she showed us that through her example. If she conjured up an idea, there was not one element of that idea that she was not going to have her hand in. She was not going to hand that over to someone.’
Plus Beyonce did a ‘kicka*s job’ of being a big sister, the singer/songwriter says.
‘You were the most patient, loving, wonderful sister ever. In the 30 years that we’ve been together, I think we’ve only really, like, butted heads … we can count on one hand.
What a way to start of the year! One quarter of Sauti Sol, Kenya’s most iconic boy band, Bien- Aimé Baraza, hosted guests, media and entertainers at his birthday party, held at Osoita Lodge, Rongai.
Dubbed, ‘Straight Outta Rongai’, the daytime event saw people networking as well as getting the opportunity mingle with artistes.
On stage to honour the singer were musicians including Nyashinski, Nameless & Big Pin and Talia Oyando among others.
The crowd was on their feet for much of the party, jamming to popular songs and Bien was not to be left behind, also dancing around and was clearly hyped up.
In attendance was also former Kiss Presenter, Kalekye Mumo, who had a lively dance onstage with Big Pin.

Days after flaunting a brand new 2017 Range Rover, Davido has added a Mercedes 2017 GLE430 to his fleet.
Worth over N10.5m, the DMW boss took to Snapchat to show off his latest ride. This means under 13 days, Davido has acquired two cars worth millions of Naira.
Davido continues to prove the recession has got nothing on him. When he showed off his white gleaming car, he wrote alongside it, “Zero recession“.
Meanwhile, the singer took to Snapchat on Christmas day sharing various videos of himself and one-year-old daughter, Imade, on for lunch.
Just recently, he was captured dressing up his little girl who laid innocently on a bed. In the latter part of the video, the Sony Music Entertainment artiste was seen feeding her, but she appeared not to have much of an appetite.
The father and daughter moment was extended to the singer’s Instagram page where he posted a picture of the both of them with the caption “Twin twin” and a love emoticon.
Sauti Sol is undoubtedly one of the biggest boy bands in African and every year they take Afro-pop music to another level.
The celebrated group is made up of 4 super talented members; Bien-Aimé Baraza, Willis Chimano and Savara Mudigi, and their incredible guitarist Polycarp Otieno.
Back in 2015, the Sura Yako hitmakers made Kenya proud when they won at the African Musik Magazine Awards (AFRIMMA) after bagging The Best African Group award in Dallas, Texas.
Other than that they managed to win the coveted Best Group award at the MTV Africa Music Awards, MAMAs 2016 at a colorful ceremony in Johannesburg, South Africa, as they also gave a spectacular performance at the popular awards show.
The boy band always stands out when it comes to releasing and dropping new songs, and if you are a fan of Sauti Sol, you know the joy and excitement you get when you hear their songs like; Kuliko Jana, Nerea, Nishike, Still The One, Isabella and more.
But now that Sauti Sol has attained musical success and put Kenyan music on the world map, who really discovered these talented young men? As it turns out, it was one of the biggest veteran Kenyan groups of all time, Them Mushrooms/Uyoga.
The old boy band is known for its Benga and Chakacha music, which is still very popular. Some of their tracks include; Jambo Bwana, Si Nguo, Unkula Huu, Zilizopendwa. The group was composed of Teddy Kalanda, Henry Ndenge Saha, Ben Mutwiwa, Billy Sarro, George Zirro, John Katana, Pius Plato Chitianda and Pritt Nyale.
Band member Bien who recently celebrated his birthday took time to appreciate and thank the former boy band. He particularly thanked one John Katana for discovering them and believing in their talent.
Check out the heart-warming message he sent them;

Simi took some time to cool off at the beach, and was looking sexy while she was there.
The singer shared cute photos from her outing via her Instagram page on Monday, January 9, 2017, but that’s not the best part.
The singer seems to be at the same beach resort with colleague and friend, Adekunle Gold.
On one of the photos Simi shared, she wrote, “Get you a man that can make you laugh.”
On his own part, Adekunle shared photos from the same beach resort location, tagging it his “Fave place in the world.”
Although rumours once had it that the pair were an item, both have refuted the claims, explaining that they have just been friends for a long time.
Simi and Adekunle Gold have come a long way and may have decided to take things to the next level.
Let’s not forget all the chemistry between Simi and Falz, making things a bit tricky although they too have refuted claims of a relationship between them – a fact Nigerians are apparently not believing.
This past Sunday saw fans, media and lovers of Sauti Sol attend Bien’s 29th birthday party at Osoita Lodge, Rongai. The elegant venue was the perfect place for revelers to enjoy a chilled out environment, with entertainment for the likes of Nameless, Nyashinski, Big Pin, 125, Habib and Talia.
Bien was clearly excited and took the opportunity to have a dance with his mother, Grace Baraza, as seen on the video below.
The exclusive, invite-only party is one that will go down in the books as one of the most hyped up events. Quite the way to start off the new year.
Bongo superstar, Ali Kiba, is one of East Africa’s most talented (and hottest) male artistes. No doubt about that. Ladies across the region just cannot get enough of this dude!
Now, word on the street has it that the Mwana hit-maker has a thing going on with one very hot Ugandan actress!
Rumour has it that Ali Kiba and the insanely hot, dimpled and light skinned Sharon Fabrinsnky are an item.
Recently, a cozy photo of the two emerged online, sending tongues wagging on whether the two could actually be an item, or did they just take a photo together?
In the photo, captioned by Sharon “QUEEN & QUEEN”, Kiba was seen shirtless in what seemed like the parking lot of a hotel, while Sharon on the other hand, was clad in a simple dress which did justice to her lovely figure.
On her social media pages, Sharon, a Ugandan actress based in Kenya, seems to be on top of the world, as she now frequently posts loads and loads of Ali Kiba’s photos and videos.
Sharon is known by many for her exploits in the Swahili acts called Utandu and Nyumba ya Mfalme.

Gospel singer Size 8 and her husband Sammy Muraya aka DJ Mo are one of the most popular celebrity couples in the Kenyan entertainment industry.
The gospel bigwigs were blessed with a beautiful daughter by the name of Ladasha Belle back in 2015. They made it official that they were an item and held a secret wedding back in October 2013.
This came after Size 8 had converted from a secular artiste to a born-again gospel sensation, revealing that DJ Mo was her mentor whens she decided to cross over to the Christian side of music, and now, they are a happy family.
When Size 8 real name, Linet Munyali gave birth on the 19th of November 2015, it was a happy moment for her and her family, but sadly, the joy was shortlived after her mother Esther Munyali passed away after a long battle with kidney complications.
Though it was such a difficult and hard moment for the Ni Yesu hitmaker and her family, with time and with the help of her husband, she was able to move on and keep the happy memories she had with her mother as well as embracing motherhood at the same time.
The little girl is growing up so fast and you can’t help but notice how she resembles her father more than her mother Size 8.
Ladasha Belle turned a year old a few weeks ago, with her parents going out of their way to make sure that she had the best birthday ever, spending close to half a million shillings for her celebrations.
Now that she’s started walking and her milk teeth have already started popping out, she is the spitting image of her father and the uncanny resemblance is just too breathtaking.
Check out these recent adorable photos of the cuddly little girl, a copy paste of her top deejay father;

Stars have taken to social media to express their sorrow following the death of ’80s music icon, George Michael.
Soon after the news broke on Christmas Day in the UK, singers Anthony Callea and Dannii Minogue, as well as model Shanina Shaik joined hundreds of heartbroken fans in mourning the 53-year-old’s death online.
Dannii, 45, shared a clip of the late star’s hit Last Christmas on Instagram, adding the caption, in part: ‘Thank you for the music.’
Meanwhile, former Australian Idol star, Anthony, said the Wham! artist was ‘gone too soon.
Such an incredibly inspiring talent, both vocally and in his writing,’ the 34-year-old shared.
‘An amazing artist gone too soon yet the musical legacy he has left us will remain in our hearts forever.’
The I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! star concluded: ‘It was, is and always will be an honour to perform his incredible music and words.’
“Oh God no… I love you George… Rest in peace,” wrote pop star Robbie Williams, while fellow singer Pixie Lott paid tribute on Twitter to the “beautiful and talented” Michael.
Elton John also published a picture of himself with Michael, saying: “I am in deep shock. I have lost a beloved friend – the kindest, most generous soul and a brilliant artist”.
The singer’s death was confirmed by his publicist, who announced that he had ‘passed away peacefully’ at his property in Goring at 1.42pm on Christmas Day, British time.
A spokesperson for Thames Valley Police said the star’s passing ‘is being treated as unexplained but not suspicious.’
The singer’s most recent tour of Australia was in 2010, where he performed hits from his solo career as well as Wham! classics.
The star nearly died from pneumonia in late 2011. After receiving treatment in a Vienna hospital, he made a tearful appearance outside his London home and said it had been ‘touch and go’ whether he lived.
Doctors had performed a tracheotomy to keep his airways open and he was unconscious for some of his spell in hospital.
Only a day after the Million Reasons singer revealed her battle with PTSD, the A-lister once again opened up about her life with the mental illness — only this time in a letter for her Born This Way Foundation‘s website.
After wrestling with how she wanted to articulate her struggles to her fans, the actress penned:
“After five years of searching for the answers to my chronic pain and the change I have felt in my brain, I am finally well enough to tell you. There is a lot of shame attached to mental illness, but it’s important that you know that there is hope and a chance for recovery.”
Of course, many thought GaGa’s PTSD diagnosis was linked to the rape she experienced when the Bad Romance artist was only 19-years-old.

However, the 30-year-old has since noted that her sexual assault isn’t the only reason she suffers from the disorder. She continued:
“I also struggle with triggers from the memories I carry from my feelings of past years on tour when my needs and requests for balance were being ignored. I was overworked and not taken seriously when I shared my pain and concern that something was wrong. The experience of performing night after night in mental and physical pain ingrained in me a trauma that I relive when I see or hear things that remind me of those days.”
In regards to how her mental illness affects her daily life, the hitmaker added;
“I also experience something called dissociation which means that my mind doesn’t want to relive the pain so ‘I look off and I stare’ in a glazed over state…My body is in one place and my mind in another. It’s like the panic accelerator in my mind gets stuck and I am paralyzed with fear.”
Obviously, this occurrence hits the A-lister hard and causes her to lose the ability to speak and go into a depressed state. According to GaGa, she is unable to function normally as she shared;
“It’s harder to do my job. It’s harder to do simple things like take a shower.”
The role-model concluded saying;
“I am a strong and powerful woman who is aware of the love I have around me from my team, my family and friends, my doctors and from my incredible fans who I know will never give up on me. I will never give up on my dreams of art and music.
I am continuing to learn how to transcend this because I know I can. If you relate to what I am sharing, please know that you can too… I believe that the most inexpensive and perhaps the best medicine in the world is words. Kind words…positive words…words that help people who feel ashamed of an invisible illness to overcome their shame and feel free.”
Well said. We bet, thanks to Lady GaGa’s candor, some Little Monsters out there are feeling particularly inspired.
Kenyan rapper Jaguar has been featuring some of the best musicians in Africa in most of his songs. From South Africa’s Mafikizolo to Nigeria’s Iyanya, the singer always rolls with the best.
Well, he intends to do it again. This time with Kiss FM’s Kalekye Mumo and Kenya’s best dance crew ‘FBI’ in an epic collaboration to be released tomorrow on Kenya’s new Kiss. Make sure you tune in.
Well, Jaguar while discussing the above collaboration with Shaffie Weru and Kalekye Mumo on the morning kiss today, he happened to disclose if he was ever going to do a collaboration with his nemesis Prezzo. This came after Mr. Weru asked him about it.
A courageous Jaguar opened up, saying he does not have any problem doing a collaboration with Prezzo. In fact he would be honored to… but not until Prezzo changes his ‘socialite’ antics (whatever that means).
Jaguar then added that he has no beef with him, despite Prezzo hating him so much.
Listen to the interview below.
This Beyonce and Chris song is the collaboration we never knew we needed. A remixed version of Beyonce’s hit ‘Jealous’ was released on April 2, and it’s incredible.
When a song features both Beyonce, 33, and Chris Brown, 25, you know you’re going to have that tune constantly on repeat. Bey’s song was already fantastic, but adding Chris’ vocals takes this song to epic new levels!
Beyonce starts the song out solo, but Chris soon joins in with his vocals. Chris and Beyonce’s voices just harmonize so well together. Listen to it below.
