One of Kenya’s greatest artistes King Kaka was featured in a track dubbed Song of Peace by Tahmane, which is a Peace Song dedicated to promotion of Peaceful co-existence among citizens, despite diverse differences, political pressure and influence of violence by Dirty and Evil politicians.
With elections just 3 two weeks away, there is great need for every Kenyan to spread the peace awareness in every way possible. Quite a number of musicians have not been left out on this, and that includes A-listers like King Kaka.
Real name Jeffrey Andre, Tahmane is an I.T Professional, Singer/Songwriter, Rapper, Actor, Audio/Video Producer, Deejay, Web/Graphic Designer, Entrepreneur, Social worker and a Volunteer
He is the C.E.O and founder of Rahpasa Records Entertainment which is involved in music production, poetry, graffiti, web/graphic design and video production as well as a manager for Mathare Qamp Squad (MQS), an artist Umbrella within Mathare.
Born in the early 90s in the Eastland part of Nairobi, he grew up as an artiste strongly influenced by his father who was a band member locally and owned a Sound System (Rapsa Disco)
He was mostly influenced by Lingala and Benga music during his tender age but fell for other music genes such as Dancehall, Hip Hop, R&B, Reggae, Pop, Rock and Zouk due to lots of youthful interactions and the massively growing local media.
Some of his songs, which include Sponsor, A Sign of Hope and Jaalego feature upcoming artist; Monte Lethal, Naju Danito, among others.
He has also shared performing platforms with a wide range of great Kenyan artistes including Khaligraph Jones, Jua Cali, Nameless, Nonini, P.Unit, Rabbit aka King Kaka, Wyre, Jaguar, Octopizzo, Willy Paul, Sauti Soul, Ukoo Flani, Point Blank, Abbas, Mwafrika, L.Ness and many others.
Tahmane and King Kaka have previously done a collabo dubbed Shenzi, which was a great hit.
Their new song Sign Of Peace was composed by Tahmane, written by Tahmane and King Kaka and produced, mixed and mastered by Rahpasa records.
The Film was directed by Gabriel Mak’owade & David Kariuki (Kiki), while the photography was done by Boniface Mwangi.
