This comes after they decided to harass a Chinese couple with claims of having coronavirus. The video of Kenyans harassing the Chinese couple had gone viral on various social media pages.
A stranger stopped the two Asians, a man, and a woman and kept asking them if they had the deadly coronavirus. The crowd within the area burst into laughter.
The man askes loudly;
you are corona?
The Asian man tried to explain to the people that he did not have corona, he kept on shouting, "No no no".
Teacher Wanjiru took to her Instagram page and condemned this act of stigmatization from Kenyans.
There have been frequent cases of Kenyans making Chinese citizens feel stigmatized.
The Chinese embassy in Kenya had earlier asked Kenyan citizens to avoid using remarks that stigmatize the Chinese citizens. Teacher Wanjiku agrees with them. Kenyans have been living in fear of the virus.
