Looks like this week, Celebrities led by Tedd Josiah are not entertaining any BS surrounding all this coronavirus crisis.
Josiah has taken a dig at a couple of multi-billion shilling companies which he says are more silent regarding the pandemic and are just focused on making a killing from Kenyans.
He says, while Kenyans have been advised to observe social distancing, instead of these companies choosing to make life easier for them by lowering the prices of services offered, they just want to manipulate them.
He said this targeting energy providers and telecommunication companies among other companies.
The retired producer argues, quoting the bible that God is happy when you do the most to the people who seem unimportant in the eyes of other people.
All these are billion shillings industries that harp on about their love for the "poor" yet ibn a time of national crisis where EVERY SHILLING COUNTS they still want to make a killing!!
He adds,
It is socially correct to keep social distance but it is very immoral for large companies in this country to keep social distance!
He went on to blast their so called corporate social responsibility (CSR) reminding them that instead of remaining silent, this is the time to act and support their consumers.
There is no social responsibility from corporates to reduce the price of fuel, to reduce the price of telecommunication, to reduce the price of water, to reduce the price of electricity, absolute silence! Yet you say you have a lot of corporate social responsibility.
Do you really? Because that CSR that a lot of companies have been talking about is hot air!
