Kenyans are in deep shock by the unwarranted attack at 14 Riverside Drive that took place on Tuesday afternoon.

Reports stated that there were four gunmen holding people on the second floor of Dusit Hotel.

A spectator who witnessed the beginning of the attack spoke to us narrating the ordeal.

Daniel Kiragu said, "We heard explosions and everyone was running, running, some were jumping over fences. The gunmen even shot some people at the entrance of the hotel."

Another Kenyan who was caught in the attack narrated the horrifying ordeal.

"Just survived a terror attack at Riverside. Bodies everywhere. Bombs everywhere."

Ron Ng'eno, a PR practitioner took to Twitter and sent out an SOS minutes after the attack took place.

"I am in 14 Riverside drive hiding in a bathroom and we are under attack."

Adding, "There was a massive bombs blast then gunshots, please @USEmbassyKenya @IsraelEmergency HELP SOS."

Ron continued, "I am hiding in a bathroom room ************* terrorist are going room to room HELP @AfricaMediaHub @nytimes @BBCWorld @BBCBreaking."

As a parting shot, Ron prayed:

"If I die I love the Lord and believe I will go to heaven please tell my family I love then I love you Caleb, Mark and Carol."

But Ron has however been rescued by security assets on the ground.

Another Kenyan took to Twitter writing,

"Everyone please RT this. We are stuck in the office in 14 Riverside. There has been a bomb and there are gunmen everywhere. @PolicKE please send help."

"@NationMediaGrp @KTNKenya @citizentvkenya @KenyaPolice @JBoinnet gunshots at 14 Riverside office park. Same compound with Dusit D2 and commission for revenue allocation. for the past 15min. Started with an explosion. Were lying on the floor in our offices can't look out."

"Just spoke to a friend who works at cellulant #Dusit #14riverside they can only hear gunshots. They are in refuge hiding. May God protect them"

"A lady by the name daisy requested for prayers; "We are under attack. Please pray for us #Dusit #14Riverside "

People have been advised to kindly not call anyone they know who might be at Dusit hotel in 14 riverside drive, send an SMS or WhatsApp them; Their security should be our priority.

Another Kenyan wrote in a WhatsApp group that they are hiding under a locker and that they if he/she dies, they should remember him/her as one of them.

Rescuing is still undergoing and those hurt have been taken to different hospitals.
