The simple answer to this question is no.

But the real answer is actually really not quite as simple. Diets in and of themselves do not work.

And I know there is a lass somewhere about to argue with me but a lot of these fad diets are failures because it takes more for you or your sister to get that figure you would die for.

And if you diet insanely, you just might -die that is.

You see, a lot of diets are about starving the body of much-needed nourishment. One example that comes to mind is the juice cleanse/ juice diets.

What usually happens is you put your body in "starvation mode" and your brain, on realizing just how much of a dunce you are, kicks in its contingency plan.

When we’re running low on calories your body tries to get you to stop burning calories so not only does it slow down your metabolic rate, you become lethargic and need to rest more. Add to this the fact that your body begins to gluttonously store up anything it can get from the little food you are consuming.

Any weight loss you will experience, will be short lived. And as soon as you begin to eat like a regular you would, you pack on even more weight.

So what is the best way to lose weight?

A combination of sleeping enough, eating right and exercising. And a lady who best exemplifies this is Nazizi.

Nazizi put in the work and she would show her fitness journey:

That is why her gains have lasted long and why her weight loss was evenly distributed throughout her body.

There is no silver bullet that will slay your weight loss problem. You have to put in the work and continue eating healthy. Nazizi has since put on some weight but in all honesty, she still looks great!

There is no panacea, you just have to put in the work.
