This song is all about a man who doesn't want to stop cheating, and prays to God that he is not caught in the act by his wife because he does not want to hurt her. I know, sounds so familiar right?
According to Chris, the song was dedicated to men who at one point have lost control of their emotions.
Speaking during an exclusive interview he said,
‘THAT SONG WAS NOT ABOUT ME. I WAS SINGING ABOUT WHAT HAPPENS ON A DAY TO DAY BASIS.AS A MAN YOU SEE A BEAUTIFUL WOMAN AND YOU ARE IN A RELATIONSHIP.
SOME OF US STAY AWAY BUT SOME HAVE TO SAY THE PRAYER.’
He added that he is not a cheater.
‘THE SONG WAS NOT ABOUT ME BECAUSE I AM NOT A CHEATER.’
Chris Martin, who is a father of three, also said that fatherhood is the best thing that has happened in his life.
‘FATHERHOOD HAS MADE ME PATIENT. I LOVE THE WHOLE EXPERIENCE, THE FEELING OF COMING HOME AND FINDING THEM EXCITED TO SEE ME BACK.EVERYTHING I DO IS BECAUSE OF THEM,I LOVE BEING A DAD.’
On what legacy he would want to live behind, Chris said
‘I WANT TO LIVE THE LEGACY THAT CHRISTOPHER MARTIN WAS A GOOD ARTISTE. I WANT TO BE A MUSIC AMBASSADOR WORLD WIDE.
