- Tristan de Cunha Island
Almost 2414 kilometers of the coast of South Africa, Tristan de Cunha is an island which is 12 km across and is a British colony. Though the island is breath taking it's extremely dangerous due to it's highly active volcano. An eruption back in 1961 and forced the inhabitants to relocate. Of late it's currently being inhabited by locals but they live with the constant knowledge that at any moment the volcano could erupt and cause serious damage.
2. Bear Island
Located off the coast of Norway, this uninhabited island is considered a nature reserve by the Norwegian government though the island barely has any wild life on it due to the amount of radiation pollution. In 1989 a nuclear Russian powered submarine crashed near the island and sank. As a result the submarine expelled high amounts of toxic radiation contaminating the water. And in 2009 a Russian oil tanker crashed on it's coasts releasing high amounts of oil killing majority of the wildlife.
3. Ramree Island
Located off the coast of Myanmar, Ramree island looks like the perfect place to have a relaxing vacation. But if you were able to go inland you'd be surprised to find that the island is infested with crocodiles. In world war two when the English defeated the Japanese. A handful of Japanese soldiers tried feeling the British forces but those who went into the inland forest were attacked by a hoard of crocodiles. Approximately 400 people died and those that survived had one hell of a tale to tell.
4. Farallon Island
Nicknamed the devils teeth, this island is located off the coast of San Francisco, USA. You are strongly advised not to visit this island due to the high population of sea lions which attracts sharks but that's not the real problem. Tonnes of containers which had toxic nuclear waste were deposited in the island. As a result a leakage the island became uninhabitable for humans .
5. Hashima Island
Off the coast of Japan, this island was once the most densely populated place in the world in the 20th century. Residents evacuated and relocated . As a result the tsunami walls were unmanaged making the entire island prone to having multiple tsunamis and the naval mines were not disabled from world war two .
6. Saba Island
This island is extremely beautiful. Offering a variety of adventures from scuba diving and 24/7 parties. It doesn't feel like any other pace on earth but the locals party constantly cause they know it can all be destroyed at anytime. Nicknamed hurricane island, it has more hurricanes than any other island in the world. So if you do happen to go there be prepared for some serious tropical weather.
7. Miyakejima Island
This island was occupied by a few thousand people but living there means having to have to wear a gas mask constantly due to the amounts of sulphuric acid being released by the volcanic activity on the island. Not only that but the island receives high amounts of toxic air from countries that heavily pollute such as the USA and Britain.
8.Island of the dolls
Located close tho Mexico city,"La isla de las munecas" is one creepy island. The story goes a man found a girl who drowned with a doll next to her. To pay his respects he hang the doll on a tree. But that didn't stop the girl from haunting him in his dreams. So he hang more dolls on the island. It's a popular tourist site but it doesn't make it any less creepy.
9. Snake Island
A couple of kilometers of mainland Brazil. Snake island is a beautiful spectacle but locals would strongly advise you to stay away from the island which has more than 4000 of the worlds most poisonous snake. The golden tip viper. One bite from this deadly snake can kill a human in minutes and you would die an extremely painful death.
