As we eagerly waited for President Uhuru Kenyatta's big news this Wednesday evening, he came bearing good news.
He has announced the full recovery of one Covid-19 patient.
"Today we have registered our first patient who has fully recovered from this virus," he said during the briefing
Uhuru also mentioned that there are an additional three cases, bringing the total of Covid -19 Kenyan patients to 28 confirmed cases.
More to this, he mentioned that the government has set up a curfew which will run from 7 pm- 5 am urging Kenyans to adhere to all precautionary measure set.
Some more great news. President Uhuru Kenyatta has directed the treasury to offer 100 percent tax relief for persons earning a gross income of Sh24,000.
"There will be a reduction of the income tax rate from its maximum of 30 to 25 per cent. There will also be a reduction of the turnover tax rate from three per cent to one per cent," he said.
Uhuru also suspended the listing on CRB of any persons in micro small or medium enterprises whose loan accounts were due or in arrears effective April 1.
"This is to protect jobs for our people and uncertainty for employers." he added.
He ended by urging Kenyans to adhere to all precautionary measures taken and blessed the nation.
