Yes you read it right, thieves do exist even in the richest places in the world.
Thieves broke into Harambee Stars Captain and English Premier League Southampton midfield sensation Victor Wanyama’s house in England on Monday night and stole property worth millions of shillings, including his Range Rover SUV worth Sh8 million.
The criminals swept the Southampton house clean taking away cookers, washing machines, computers, a music system, microwaves and even clothes.
A close firend according to The Star confirmed that all his house holds were stolen as the thieves took advantage of his absence as he helped his side to a 1-1 draw with Aston Villa in a late Monday English Premier League match.“Apart from the vehicle, Wanyama lost all his household items, including television sets and other electronics,”
According to BBC the Range Rover was however later found in Iver, Buckinghamshire.
The friend also added that Wanyama is however not worried about his stolen goods, but for his security. “I spoke to him this morning [yesterday]. He is very shocked, but very fine. He sounded unsettled and revealed he had to buy new clothes to enable him to attend training. We thank God he is fine,”
Police are currently investigating the matter.
