Teacher Wanjiku is back and she is back with 8 other female comedians.

Being a female comedian is not easy as she has always said, but this time she is taking it to another level. Teacher Wanjiku has decided to bring together female comedians who will all headline a comedy show.

being a president is nothing, being a comedian is hard because you have to make people laugh

The ladies who she says are about 9 will take the stage for 15 min and crack their audience. This is not the first time she is doing this, but this show is special because she has brought along new talent.

it's not the first time. second time and I will be doing this but as after this one we will be doing it twice a year and the next one will have  east African female comedians. this new show has fresh new talented girls to showcase and we just want to encourage other women to be comedians.

Teacher Wanjiku says that the show this time round is to treat our men. Just after the conference, men need to be appreciated once in a while and this is the opportunity for women to make their men happy.

its a boys day out. women come treat your men. we are welcoming the men back after the men's conference.

The other reason why she came up with an all-female lineup is so that the women can be comfortable doing a one hour plus solo show. Teacher Wanjjikui is the only female comedian who has done that but she wants to create that space for others.

stand up is all about if your funny or not it has nothing to do with gender I am the only female comedian who has done stand up and I want that to change

Does comedy pay? Teacher Wanjiku says that she is finally getting paid but she had to work hard to build a brand.

first figure out what you want and know yourself. put in the work and eventually everything will fall into place

Queens of comedy is happening at KICC this Friday on the 27th February from 6 pm to 11 pm. Tickets regular and 2000 VIP.
