The discussion on playing Kenyan music is not about to end anytime soon.

On Bahati's weekly show, he met up with DK Kwenye Beat and after GP Karting in Langata, they went for lunch where they started having a discussion on the topic.

Bahati asked DK why he is not speaking out about it, and he responded saying he actually has been doing so, but in prayer. He agrees there is a problem that needs urgent attention.

the fact remains there is a problem

Bahati asks him where he thinks the problem lies in the industry. Is it artistes, DJ's or media? DK was clear saying that he thinks the biggest problem is content.

I think everyone contributes because there are people who are given the platform but they misuse it. we need to create good content that is commercial to everyone. not music that is heard and everyone is wondering what are you saying?

Bahati added that it is even worse in the church because they - worship leaders, sing along to worship songs by Don Moen yet we have local worship songs.

even these worship leaders are spoiling it for the Kenyan music because worship leaders lead praise and worship with Don Moen songs from beginning to end yet we have our very own Sarah K who is just here in Kiambu

Do you agree with what Bahati has to say?
