Oladapo fagbab is the genius music video director behind such hits as Wizkids 'Come Closer', Davido's' 'Fall', and Migos 'Bad and Boujee' video. He has also worked with Kendrick Lamar, Izzy Azealia among other A listers.
But it appears this is not enough to grant him access to events. The talented music video directed has taken to his social media to narrate how embarrassed he felt when he tried to access the 2016 BET awards ceremony, but was denied access.
He said; 'Exactly one year ago, I went to the BET awards with & . Rushed to the Beverly Center to buy an outfit & everything. FRESH! We pulled up to the red carpet & the sun hit my beard... I knew it was going to be a good day.
Long story short, I was denied entry - no pass for me. Sh*t was so embarrassing... I had to delete my snaps & play it off like I had somewhere else to be. Wiz & Ses felt bad & I trekked to the other side of the Staples center to call an Uber home.
I sat in the Uber contemplating how I was gonna sh*t on everybody... grind mode activated.
Yesterday I was nominated for 2 BET awards with my people . Didn't win video of the year (congrats Beyoncé) or viewers choice award (congrats... Beyoncé), but it's all good. Shoutout to my guys for winning The Best Group award tho. What a difference one year makes. Don't fold. The 🌊 is unlimited'
The Nigerian born director latest humiliation was during Sundays BET awards. It seems he expected to win Video of the year award, which he didn't. He was however a gentleman and condeded defeat to Beyonce.
