Former four-time kickboxing champion Andrew Tate has just suffered a blow after Romanian authorities confiscated about 10 of his luxury cars days after he flaunted his fleet online.
Some of the cars confiscated according to Romanian outlet Spy News include the $2.9 million Buggati Chiron that he used to taunt 20-year-old Swedish climate change activist Greta Thunberg, a Rolls Royce, two Ferraris, Aston Martin Vanquish S Ultimate, and a Porsche.
Tate is said to own the fleet alongside his brother Tristan, who is also being held in a detention centre as part of the investigation.
The 36-year-old was arrested last week as part of a probe into alleged human trafficking, rape, and forming an organized crime ring
Mid-last year Tate was banned from several social media pages including Instagram, YouTube Facebook, and TikTok.
TikTok is trying its level best to shadow-ban his content in hopes of scrapping it off its platform.
Days before his arrest, the content creator was embroiled in a Twitter spat with climate activist Greta Thunberg, where he tried taunting her by bragging about the “massive emissions” from his Bugatti.
This was in a bid to rattle the young girl.
Greta responded by calling out the 36-year-old for attention seeking. She told him that he had “small d energy and should get a life”.
On top of the cars, more than ten properties/ land owned by companies registered to them have also been seized.
Ramona Bolla, a spokeswoman for Romanian anti-organized crime agency DIICOT, said they would be used to pay for the investigation and pay damages to victims if they are convicted.
Tate and his brother were arrested two days ago after the content creator flaunted his lavish lifestyle and misogynistic beliefs along with pornographic content from women who were allegedly under “house arrest” on social media to millions of fans and subscribers who had admiringly dubbed him the “king of toxic masculinity.”
The American-British content creator who moved to Romania amid a s3x abuse investigation on thoughts that it'd be easier to evade rape charges was accused of being in an “organized criminal group” that had allegedly raped a woman last year, prosecutors said.
