Lupita Nyong'o debuts completely bald look

Award-winning Kenyan actress Lupita Nyong'o has thrown netizens into a frenzy after she posted a photo revealing her new hairstyle.

The "Black Panther" Hollywood star has gone fully bald!

Sharing a photo of the new look online the 40-year-old Oscar award winner can be seen boldly looking at the camera in a minimal makeup look.

"Happ without hair!" She captioned the selfie before jokingly adding that she was now all set to apply to join the Wakanda female warriors. "Application for the Dora Milaje submitted)" added the actress.

The post currently has over 377 thousand likes and over 4.2 k comments from fans, fellow celebrities, friends, and followers with most first expressing their shock and then congratulating her for embracing herself in all ways and looks.

Back in April before the bald look debut, Lupita had shared a reel in which she revealed she had cut off her signature Sisters locs.

In the video, she bid goodbye to her hair, stating how thick and good it had been to her. Nyong'o then proceeded to take scissors and proceed to chop off the locs. Towards the end, she could be seen sporting a low cut.

She talked about how difficult it was to say goodbye to her long locks, but she was ready for a change.

However, it now appears the actress has decided to take off everything and start afresh.

Nyong'o has always been open about her hair journey, discussing the challenges of being a Black woman in Hollywood and embracing her natural beauty.

This is the second time she has done a massive chop with the most iconic one being back in 2016.

Speaking to InStyle Magazine she said, "I wasn’t sure if I could pull off [the bald look] Because hair is the frame of the face, right? And we spend so much time on it, trying to get it perfect. It often defines one’s beauty and feminine value.”

But eventually took the plunge. “Almost on a whim, I was like, ‘What if I didn’t have it?’ And so I shaved it all off — I was a complete baldy!” she said.

Before adding it came as a huge shock to her family, especially her mom.

“It was shocking at first, especially for my mom. But I learned to embrace my features. And I like myself a lot more now that I’m not constantly fussing over my hair.” The actress revealed.
