Nigerian superstar and multi-award winner, Tiwa Savage has sworn never to tell her mum any more secrets after she once let the cat out of the bag.

Tiwa revealed she'd excitedly told her mom a top secret that was supposed to remain exactly that, a top-secret but momma proved when it comes to exciting news she can barely contain herself.

Spilling the tea during an interview with MTV UK, the artist snitched on her own mom highlighting how bad she is at keeping secrets So, picture this: she gets the royal news that she's headlining the Kings Coronation concert, and who does she first share it with? Her dear mom, of course!

But hold up, there's a catch, Mom is supposed to keep it C.I.A. level hush-hush. Well, guess what? Sadly, mama couldn't resist spilling to her brother faster than you can say "20 minutes!"

Because according to Tiwa that is how long it took her mom to share her secret with others.

"When I got the call about performing at the King's coronation, I didn't tell a lot of people at first. But eventually, I told my mum and as always I was like, Mum, please don't tell anyone.

Then literally 20 minutes later, my brother is calling me, he was like, 'Oh my gosh!' And I'm like, mum, wow! So, I'm not telling my mum anything again. The 'Somebody's Son' hitmaker revealed amidst cute giggles.

Earlier this year she became the first Nigerian artiste to perform at a British royal event after she performed at King Charles III's coronation concert and Big Lunch in March.

According to her, she was previously unaware of the fact that she was the only African performing at the event, and after she found out she was stunned

In a previous interview with Good Morning UK, the artist shared how honoured and delighted she felt having performed at  King Charles III's coronation ceremony.

"It was beautiful, such an amazing moment to represent the commonwealth and just to be on that stage. I was nervous the first few seconds but soon as I started singing it all went away," said Tiwa excitedly.
