There is a new social media platform in town! Well it is not really new but it is safe to say, Parler, is the latest platform taking Kenyans by a storm.
If you are an avid Twitter user, you might have noticed on Monday, a number of Kenyans talking about it.
A quick search on the internet, I came to learn that the US-based Parler which styles itself as a “free speech-driven” space, was launched back in August 2018.
With John Matze as it's CEO and the co-founder, as of June 2020, Parler reported that it boasts over 1.5 million users.
With Twitter users slowly encouraging their followers to join the app and follow each other, I can only say it is only a matter of time till we see how much influence the app will have on Kenyans.
