South African artist Sho Madjozi has officially been Gengetonefied. Yes, it is a word.

She recently dropped her nine-track mixtape, 'What A Life'. One of the songs in the mixtape, 'Dihawks' has Kenyans falling in love with her even more.

The song 'Dihawks' features a very notable Gengetone influence thanks to the Kenyan producer who worked on the song. The producer goes by the name Forever (Mike G) based in Nairobi, Kenya.

On how he got to produce for Sho Madjozi, Kenyan producer Forever says that he sent a beat to the team and got a reply in July that Sho Madjozi would work on a song using the instrumental that he sent.

"I thank God so much for the blessings! It's amazing to get to work with Sho Madjozi and her whole team. It's great to hear what she did with a Genegtone beat." Mike G said

Adding that,

"I can't wait to hear what other great collaborations are in store for the continent of Africa. Would love to hear Kenyan artists try Amapiano and Ghanaian artists try Kizomba. There is so much we can learn from each other."

'What A Life' by Sho Madjozi is a celebration of individuality. It is a fusion of gqom, Afro-pop and the fast and exciting wave of new-age Xitsonga pop, proving that while you can take the girl out of the village, you certainly can’t take the village out of the girl.

Sho is such a vibe so best believe you will enjoy the mixtape.
