Well, well, well, it seems one of Elon Musk's kid is just about ready to cancel the dad.
One would think being the child of the richest man on the planet, one would want to maintain the name as it comes with power among so many other things but it seems that is not the case.
Elon's kid with his former wife, Canadian author Justine Wilson, born Xavier Alexandra Musk turned 18 years of age back in April and it seems his first decree as an adult is to cut ties with his dad.
Yep, you read that correctly. Cancel culture on a whole other level.
Oh and on top of that he is not only filing to change his full name legally, which includes dropping the Tesla owner's famous last name, but he is also legally declaring her gender identity as a girl.
The legal documents were filed to the Superior Court of California in Los Angeles County on the 18th of April by Xavier Musk with the request stating she wants her name to officially be changed to Vivian Jenna Wilson.
In the court documents, Vivian states she wants to be recognized as a female (owing to the fact that she is transgender) but it is clear the name change isn't just about her transition.
It seems to have a lot to do with her estranged relationship with her father as in her statement Vivian listed her reason for the name change as, "Gender identity and the fact that I no longer live with or wish to be related to my biological father in any way, shape or form."
A little harsh but considering neither Elon Musk or Vivian have previously addressed the public about their relationship or her transition we really can only just speculate as we do not know nor understand the magnitude of their rift.
Interestingly though, back in December 2020, Elon who has been known to have transphobic views tweeted that he supports the transgender community, but in true Elon form he added that the pronouns are unbearable.

The tweet came after he'd tweeted mocking people who add their pronouns in their social media bios.
He tweeted, "I absolutely support trans, but all these pronouns are an esthetic nightmare."
Probably in an attempt to save face. Vivian has a twin brother named Griffin, and three other brothers (triplets) who are two years younger than her and Griffin.
The last name Wilson comes from their Canadian mother, who was married to Elon from 2000 to 2008. Vivian's hearing on the name change is set for 24th June 2022.
