Former Machakos Governor Alfred Mutua has penned a message of appreciation to President William Ruto after being appointed new foreign and diaspora affairs CS pending parliament approval.
In his message, Mutua thanked President Ruto for settling on him as the perfect fit for the docket.
“Thank you, Mr. President. I wish to humbly thank President @williamsamoeiruto for appointing me to his Government. He had many to choose from and I am grateful he saw me fit to serve his Government and Kenyans.
Thanks also to Almighty God, my supportive family & friends & to all well-wishers,".
Mutua also used the opportunity to congratulate fellow nominees in William Ruto’s proposed cabinet.
“I also congratulate my colleagues who were also appointed. We have been given an opportunity to turn around the fortunes of Kenyans and make life better for all. Mbele iko sawa,” Mutua said.
Garissa Township MP Aden Duale has been nominated to the Defence Docket.

Elegeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen also welcomed his nomination with a post that says;
“I thank HE @WilliamsRuto for giving me the greatest honor&privilege to serve my country as a Cabinet Secretary in the Ministry of Roads, Transport and Public Works. I will serve the people of Kenya with the greatest humility &utmost dedication to ensure we achieve our development PLAN.

Former Budalangi MP Ababu Namwamba has been nominated to head the Youth Affairs, Sports, and Arts ministry.
“My sincere appreciation to Your Excellency President William Samoei Ruto for the confidence and faith in nominating me to serve our country as Cabinet Secretary for Youth Affairs, Sports & Arts,” Namwamba wrote.
