Self-proclaimed President of Single mothers Esther Akoth aka Akothee is going back to class.
On Friday, October 28, 2022, the singer divulged that she is chasing after her degree and won’t allow her age to be an obstacle.
In her update, the singer mentioned that she has been taking online classes but the challenges that come with that are too many.
“You know I will finish this degree 🙉🙉. I promised, however long it takes it will be done. “I Visited Mount Kenya University Kisii campus, to sort out my studying issues, I really think I need to go inside a classroom to finish this thing Hii virtual hainibambi mambo ya students portal na network iko down,aaah vinginezo goodbye. Mimi huyu kwa class. Adding that; “I met a very well organized welcoming Gentleman Mr. Maurice Cherekes, Deputy Director Academics and Research Affairs. He has convinced me to move from a virtual niingie class. Trust me I think it's the best. Mount Kenya University Kisii campus Here I come,”.
A few years ago, the ‘Give it to Me’ hitmaker shared her KCSE results, and looking at her result slip and considering her life story, one can say she did well.

Akothee managed to score a C+ at Wasio Mixed Secondary school after dropping out at age 14 from Nyabisawa Girls to get married.
The musician paid her school fees at Wasio with the money she got from selling Omena (Lake Victoria sardines) and the money was also used to feed her three daughters.
Daughters she had gotten from her marriage with her high school sweetheart who soon disappeared after the love went sour.
After sharing her result slip, Akothee admitted that Maths wasn’t her strong suit.
“Oya Respect Maths D - What did you get in maths? That's the furthest I could go. #callpolis So Which school did you attend? Who was your headmaster and what are your names, maybe you were my schoolmate, comment with your Maths status.”
