Kenyan vocalist Vivian is currently trending after a video of her flopped performance started doing rounds online.
In the viral online video Vivian could be seen performing in front of a "dead audience" that just stared on as she performed.
There were no applauses nor people singing along.
Vivian tried getting the crowd pumped up by talking to them mid performance but to no avail.
She had been invited to perform as the opening act for the launch of KIU a new Kenyan show.
Netizens took to social media to give their two cents on the matter with most highlighting that her performance was wrong for the event setting.
A specific page in Vivian's defence quipped that even though people were hating Vivian had already made her money and that is what matters.
"Many people will criticise her because the audience haijachangamka, cha muhimu ni bag.
Wacheze wasicheze shauri yao pesa yao imeenda," the page wrote on a video of Vivian's flopped performance.
To which TikTok content creator Alma Mutheu replied noting that there was more to it than just securing the bag.
Alma noted that one needs to look beyond just a one-night performance but focus on the long run and what the performance speaks about you as an artist.
"I don't think it is always all about the money.
Sometimes it is more of will they call you next time? Will other brands work with you after this? Just my thoughts though..." Alma's comment read.
