A man accused of stealing shoes and a laptop from a woman and allegedly handing them to another woman as gifts has been charged in court with theft.
Ryan Lusalishi was charged with stealing a laptop valued at Sh25, 000, a bag and a pair of shoes before Makadara Principal Magistrate Gathogo Sogomo.
He denied the charges.
Elizabeth Okumu is the complainant in the said case.
The offence is said to have been committed between November 7 and 8 this year in Nairobi county.
The complainant is said to have been shocked after she came back home and found her items missing.
Based on how things occurred, she suspected the accused person and reported the matter to the police leading to his arrest and arraignment.
The accused person was released on a surety bond of Sh50, 000 and an alternative cash bail of Sh30, 000.
The matter will be mentioned on January 31, 2023, before the hearing starts on May 22 of the same year.
