Singer Diamond Platnumz, PLO Lumumba, Mama Ida Odinga, Rashid Abdalla, Lulu Hassan, and Lady Jaydee are among the public figures who are celebrating President Samia Hassan Suluhu for turning a year older.
Suluhu turns 63 today.
People from all walks of life took to social media to wish President Samia a happy birthday.
Rashid Abdalla and Lulu put up a joint video, pampering President Samia with sweet words as she turns 63.
"Today is a very special day for Tanzania It's the day mama you celebrate turning 63 years," Lulu noted.
Rashid agreed, passing on his message and talking about how her leadership was a new beginning for the country.
"Nakumbuka siku uliweza kulazimika kuweza kukua na busara ujasiri kuchukua mikoba ya kuiongoza Tanzania"
Rashid and Loulou celebrated her style of leadership noting the strides she has made for the girl child in Tanzania.
President Dr Samia became the sixth President of Tanzania on 19 March 2021, following the death of President John Magufuli. She served as Vice President of Tanzania from 2015.
Suluhu was born on 27 January 1960 in Makunduchi, an old town on Unguja island, in the Sultanate of Zanzibar.
President Suluhu has responded to several of the birthday wishes, with one of them being a young journalist who tagged her pleading for a chance to interview her.
vivian_j_joseph wrote on Twitter "Celebrating my birthday with Her Excellency Madam President @SuluhuSamia, I have one wish for this year to one day have a conversation with her on health matters across the SADC Region,".
Samia responded by saying; "Happy Birthday Vivian, and thank you for the wishes. My aides will reach out to you to schedule a meeting. I look forward to speaking with you."
WCB President Diamond Platnumz also penned a cute message to Suluhu after sharing a photo they took together.
“Nisaidie kumtakia Heri ya Kuzaliwa Rais wetu wa Jamuhuri wa Muungano wa Tanzania Mh @samia_suluhu_hassan,” Diamond wrote.
PLO Lumumba has also celebrated Mama Samia via a video that was shared on social media by Chief Government Spokesperson of Tanzania Gerson Msigwa.
Raila Odinga’s wife Mama Ida Odinga shared a video via her socials wishing Mama Samia a happy Birthday.
Singer Lay Jaydee also did the same- saluting Mama Samia for her good leadership.
