Singer Diamond Platnumz  has signed a new artiste to his record label WCB Wasafi.

On Thursday, Diamond posted a section of the contract dated 02/02/2023.

A Tanzanian artiste and a friend to former WCB signee, Raynanny called Mavokali also posted ‘Deal Done 02/02/2023’ at the same time leaving his fans speculating he is the new signee.

Mavokali has been on the airwaves after releasing the song ‘Commando’ which he later released a remix featuring former Wasafi member Rayvanny.

Two years ago, Mavokali also did a song with Diamond Platnumz titled, Yako Wapi.

Chibu Dangote is yet to reveal the face or name of the newest signee who will be filling the gap left by stars who left his label.

Currently Diamond manages, Mbosso, Lava Lava, Queen Darleen, and Zuchu.

Next Level Music CEO Rayvanny is the latest artiste to ditch the Diamond-owned record label.

Others who have left WCB Wasafi include.

Harmonize and Rich Mavoko.

In July 2022, Simba was forced to address claims of exploiting his signees - making them pay huge sums of money to terminate their contracts.

Platnumz sought to clarify that WCB Wasafi is a record label that has invested heavily in the music business and whoever gets signed under the label has to adhere to the terms and conditions put in place.

He made it clear that he runs the label as a full-fledged business and that’s why everyone who wants to terminate his or her contract must part with a certain amount of money.

The Wasafi Media CEO and founder further stated that he invests a lot in all talents signed under his label and that’s why they blow up within a short period.

“We are in the music business but at first there were rumours that artistes are being exploited. It even reached the President but we explained ourselves saying this is business and they understood it from our point of view.

“So you can’t just leave when we have invested millions in your craft. I invest in these people, make ensure they have a name for themselves, plus shows so that we can also make money at the end of the day," Diamond explained.
