Former KTN news anchor Najma Ismail has landed a new role in State House.

The new job come weeks after her appointment as a Tourism Regulatory board member was revoked.

Najma confirmed the appointment on her Twitter handle saying "Bismillah, to new beginnings. Alhamdulilah."

She indicates on her Twitter profile that she is a Media Liaison Officer of the State House Spokesperson. 

On March 9, Tourism CS Peninah Malonza revoked Najma's appointment as a board member of the Tourism Regulatory Authority board alongside blogger Pauline Njoroge and three others.

Najma was axed alongside Kevin Muasya, Alais Lenana Momoi and Isaac Muchiri Njangu.

Najma was appointed to the board by former Tourism CS Najib Balala on August 8, 2020. 

Najma is a seasoned Multimedia award-winning journalist who has previously worked at Radio Africa Group as a radio news reader. 

She quit her anchoring role at KTN on February 8, 2023, after nine years of service.

Najma also previously worked at the Kenya Education Fund as Goodwill Ambassador.
