President William Ruto on Thursday appointed Isaac Rutto and Caroline Nzilani as members of the Judicial Service Commission for a five-year term.

This comes after the National Assembly Justice and Legal Affairs Committee (JLAC) approved their nomination on June 13.

Former Chepalungu Member of Parliament Isaac Ruto and Nzilani had been nominated by President William Ruto on May 3.

They were to represent Kenyans before the 11-member commission led by Chief Justice Martha Koome.

Their nomination was communicated to Parliament by Speaker Moses Wetang'ula ahead of their vetting.

"I wish to convey a message from H.E the President regarding the nomination of persons for appointment as members of the Judicial Service Commission,” Wetangula said.
