Leonard Omusula the guy behind the famous catchphrase trending on TikTok 'hata jina hutaki' is appealing for help.

The 43-year-old man hails from Butere and he has been homeless and living on the streets for the last 13 years.

His life history is quite painful as he has moved around quite a lot with families after the passing of his parents while he was young.

"Mi naitwa Leonard Omsula...nilizaliwa Nairobi, babangu alinichapa, mamangu alipass and due to that I was taken to the second house."

The man recounts how hard it was and still is to stay with a step-parent and it all really depends on how they want to treat you.

"I have been in the streets since 2007 and it was because I was sacked from Copycat, I am a technician the way you see me like this."

He attributes the sacking due to the change of the management of the company and hence he could not provide for himself.

"I hulala tu apa kwa street si umenipata tu apa, sina ata pesa ya chakula ata sijakula leo."

The man says he has last gone home to Butere in 2021 and even his leg is in bad condition due to him being hit by a car while crossing the road.

He has sought appeal from Kenyans whoever can just offer him a job as he really doesn't like living on the streets.

"Kwa sai ukitaka kunisaidia at least I just get employed somewhere...because sleeping on the street and living on the street that is not part of my life."

The internet sensation says that life on the streets is quite difficult and he fears living on the streets.

"I have a lot of problems that's why I am living on the streets to think of my problems like a man because I have no money to help my daughter."

Unknown to many Leonard says he has a daughter who is completing secondary school next year and he just wishes to support her through school.
