WCB President Diamond Platnumz has been exposed for allegedly copy-pasting seven Nigerian songs.
The star has been a trending topic in Nigeria following the claims.
On Tuesday night, a Twitter user went ham on Diamond pitting all his songs with those he believes he copied from their artistes.
In the said songs, there is a striking resemblance between the melodies used in Platnumz songs and those from Nigeria.
The light f the list comes at a time, the WCB President has been topping charts in Nigeria with his single ‘Enjoy’ featuring Juma Jux.
The songs in question are;
- Jux ft. Diamond Platnumz – Enjoy // Spyro – Who’s Your Guy?
- Diamond Platnumz ft. Mbosso – Yataniua // Asake – PBUY
- Diamond Platnumz – Jeje // Wizkid – Joro
- Platnumz – Gidi // Burna Boy – Gbona
- Diamond Platnumz – Gidi // WizKid – Show You The Money
- Diamond Platnumz – Loyal // WizKid ft. Tems – Essence
- Diamond Platnumz – Babalao // Naira Marley – Soapy
The expose has sparked mixed reactions from fans- with a section defending Diamond.
Many argued that the singer was just inspired to create a similar sound to the one that was already on the market.
Others defended Diamond saying he had just sampled the said songs and it’s not a crime in the music industry.
This is not the first time Diamond is being accused of copy-pasting other people’s songs.
He has also in the past been exposed to copy-pasting video ideas from other people’s songs.
Others went to the extent of comparing Diamond to Burna Boy who has sampled almost his major hits - Top of the Word, (from Brandy), Ye (from Femi Kuti), Temper (from Femi Kuti), Last Last among others.
