Tanzanian singer Diamond Platnumz has made a rare confession about Congolese singer and songwriter Koffi Olomdie as their new collaboration ‘Achii’ hits over 1 million views in just 21 hours hours.

Taking to his socials, Platnumz made it known that he has always admired Koffi and having him on his songs is an absolute honour.

He went on to add that h has always been a Koffi Olomide fan – listening to his music since when he was a small kid.

 
 

“Have been a big fan, watching and listening to @koffiolomide_officiel Music with my Family since when I was a little kid, that’s why am always excited and happy working with him, to me it always feels like a dream come true…I’m super grateful for the way he always makes sure that we do not just do a song, but we do an Anthem🙏🏼, and here we go Again #Achii 🔥🚀,” Diamond said.

On Wednesday night, Chibu Dangote took his fans by surprise after dropping his new tune with Koffi without prior promotions or even posters.

The song was produced by WCB Wasafi’s music Producer Lizer Classic while its video was shot by Director Folex.

A cross-check down by this writer indicates that fans are in love with how the video of the song was shot – many terming it a classic.

The video has already accumulated over 1.5 million views and trended at number 2 within 24 hours of being uploaded on YouTube.

The new collabo between Chibu Dangote and Koffi comes barely three years after they set and broke new their record with Waah.

The song “WAAAH” garnered over 1 million views in 8 hours and 2 million views in 13 hours on YouTube.

This was a new milestone to be achieved by an African artiste based on the fact that the Waah video managed to clock over 2 million in less than 24 hours.

The singer made Sh4.2 million from the song Waah at a time it had accumulated 39 million views. Currently, the song has over 141 million views within 2 years of being on YouTube.
