Kenyans in ten counties are set to face power interruptions as part of routine network maintenance.
Kenya Power announced that there will be interruptions at diverse times of the day.
The counties include Nairobi, Kiambu, Uasin Gishu, Trans Nzoia, Nyeri, Meru, Murang'a, Kirinyaga, Mombasa and Kilifi. The blackout will hit certain areas in the counties.
In Nairobi areas including part of Riverside Drive, Uganda High Commission, German Embassy, part of Mzima Springs, Joska, Kamulu Police Station, parts of Mpaka road and Oshwal school among others from
In Kiambu, Kabete, Kingeero, Wangige, Epic, Gathiga village, Mwimuto, Karagi Estate, Karembu and Corner Brook among others, will from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm face blackout.
Jabali, Karara Farm and Chebarus in Uasin Gishu will experience power interruptions from 9.00am to 4.00pm.
In Trans Nzoia county, affected areas include Motosiet, Kachibora, Yuya, Kaplamai, Hatutu, Mito Mbili and Kiptoi. They will experience interruptions from 9.00am to 3.00pm.
In Nyeri county, areas including Witima, Kagumo, Kamuini, Gaikundo Market, Mbari ya Ndiga Gaikundo and Mutitu Market will from 9.00am to 4.00 pm lack power.
Meru will experience interruptions in Laare, Mutuati, Kamukunji, Kabachi and China State areas among other areas.
In Murang'a areas to be affected are Muchungucha, Kiria, Kamaguta, Maragi, Kiria, Ndutumi and Yamugwe among others.
Difathas, Kanjinji, Thumaita, Kamagunda, Karumande, Ichangi, Kitharaini and Kamweti Research areas in Kirinyaga will face blackout.
In Mombasa areas to be affected include Portriez Hospital, Magongo, Changamwe, Coast General Hospital and Chaani among other areas.
In Kilifi parts of Gotani Mawbayanyundo, Makomboani, Mwanamwinga, Gotani Market, Kabateni Market and Mast among other areas from 9.00am to 4.00pm will experience interruption.
