Jalang’o mourns Papa Shirandula & Inspekta Mwala Director

Lang’ata Member of Parliament Jalang’o is mourning his good friend and Papa Shirandula producer and director Kibwana Onguso.

The radio host turned politician paid tribute to the late Onguso for being instrumental in building the man he is now.

The legislator disclosed that Onguso was the first who gave him a chance to showcase his talent on Papa Shirandula.

 

“Rest well Director! Kibwana Onguso! You gave me a chance to show my talent without borders! Kibwana Onguso! Director Papa Shirandula!

“Rest in Peace!,” Jalang’o shared.

Kibwana Onguso carved his name in the annals of Kenyan television history as the creative force behind beloved TV shows since the 1990s.

 

The broadcast journalist had a successful media career, producing popular programs such as Tausi, Nyundo Utosini, Tahamaki, Kisulisuli, Mahoka, Papa Shirandula, and Inspekta Mwala, among others.

His son stated he found him unresponsive in his bed before doctors confirmed his death.

The late producer had a distinguished career in the media industry.

Following his departure from KBC in the early 2000s, Onguso worked at Citizen TV, K24, and Maisha Magic before venturing into independent production.
