Kenyan recording and performing artist Octopizzo is currently over the moon after he was nominated for consideration under 2 Grammy Awards categories.

Sharing the news with his fans and followers, the jubilant rapper shared screen grabs of the consideration posters as well as a picture of himself donning an all-maroon outfit.

In the said post, Octo went on to hype his new album 'Lamu Nights' which he released about 8 months ago.

"Lamu nights up!!!" Excitedly wrote the artist accompanying the post with emojis of flying eagles and an 8 ball.

Octopizzo went on to add that the achievement felt incredibly good noting that it wasn't a small fit being considered for not only one but two Grammy Award nomination categories

Soaking up the moment and enjoying being on the international map Octo went on to add, "Feels good to be up for 2 categories via the Recording Academy. #Grammys #Lamu Nights # Don (goat emoji)"

The rapper is being considered under the following categories, 'Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical' and 'R&B, Rap and Spoken Word' category.

It welcomes the public to his innate understanding of the world around him and the surroundings that made him.

Speaking during the album launch months ago Octo revealed that the album's reception blew him away as he hadn't anticipated the soaring success.

"This project has been a bigger success than I expected. The album's reception is overwhelmingly positive, even though this is not a rap/hip-hop album like the previous ones.

This is pure R&B and soul, and everyone is enjoying the music. It’s extremely satisfying. More positive vibes and experimental music are on the way," Octopizzo excitedly said.
