Several Kenyans have been nominated in the 2023 Africa Women Awards as they battle with other industry heavyweights in different categories.
Kiss FM breakfast host Sheila Kwamboka aka Kwambox has been nominated in the Media Personality of the Year category alongside Kenya’s Aziza Hashim, Tacha (Nigeria), Joyce Chuks (Nigeria), King Kalala (Kenya), and Kafuki Jada (South Sudan).
On the other hand, Kate actress has been nominated in the Actress of the Year category. She will be battling with; Kehinde Bankole (Nigeria), Khanya Mkangisa (South Africa), Scarlet Gomez (Nigeria), Bukumi Oluwasina (Nigeria), Ini Edo (Nigeria), Nse Ikpe Etim (Nigeria), Mercy Johnson (Nigeria), and Kgotmoso Christopher (South Africa).
Actress Awinja has been nominated im the Content Creator of the Year category together with Kenya’s Cartoon Comedian, Miss Ezeani (Nigeria), Angel Nyigu (Tanzania), Ijeoma Nnebe (Nigeria), Sophia Idahosa (Nigeria) and Chelsi Shikongo (Namibia).
Other Kenyans on the list include;
Celebrity Sensation of the Year - Vera Sidika
Breakout Actress of the Year – Diana Luvanda.
Content Creator of the Year – Jacky Vike.
Young Creative of the Year – Joy Kendi, Chebet Ronoh, and Brandy Maina.
On Air Personality of the Year – Kwambox and Azeezah Hashim.
Media personality – Joy Wayodi and Kwambox.
This year’s theme of the Africa Women Awards is ‘Year of the Woman’. This is the fourth edition of the prestigious awards.
The awards aim to celebrate the contributions of African women who are creating a remarkable difference across the continent.
