BBC journalist Waihiga Mwaura just got a degree hotter (Relax y'all I know he is married) after bagging a Master's degree from Daystar University.

Waihiga made it to Athi River for the big celebration at the university's main campus in the company of his super talented musician of a wife, Joy Omondi.

Sharing photos online commemorating his latest achievement the former Citizen TV journalist lauded praises on his wife for supporting him throughout the journey.

He also gave his parents, PhD students and some of Daystar's faculty members their flowers for helping him walk the journey to attaining his Masters in Media Studies.

Captioning his Instagram post of gratitude and celebration he went on to write;

"God done did it. M.A. in Communication (Media Studies). What a journey this has been, one I thought would never end (story for another day). But here we are.

So many people to thank. My beloved @joyceomondi for all the support through this journey. My family who encouraged me to never give up. A very helpful group of people at Daystar University. The PhD students who pushed me on. And to anyone I may have forgotten-thank you.

As Malcolm X once said, Education is the passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it today. #ClassOf2023 #FaithfullisOurGod."

On her part, Joyce also shared scenes from the graduation square and photos celebrating her hubby for adding another feather to his cap.

"SO SO proud of you!! 🤩🙌🏾✨ Congratulations my love!❤️" Joyce happily wrote.
