Roseline Atieno alias Rosie who hails from Siaya County has been the talk of town for the past few weeks. This is after her videos bidding goodbye to her employer and his kids in Lebanon went viral on social media.

Rosie has attracted all sorts of praises and she is now opening up on life in Lebanon after landing in Kenya for the Christmas Holiday.

She reveals that she went to Lebanon back in 2021 to look for greener pastures.

“I went in October 2021 and at that time, I was in a marriage that was not working and I decided to go there and find greener pastures to be able to give my kids a good life. She is a mother of three. I was scared before going there but I prayed to God to give me a good family,” she said in part.

“The first experience with the family when we met at the airport she just said, wow when she saw me. We blended from the first day,”.

According to Rosie who has now been awarded a fully paid trip by Expeditions Maasai Safaris’s CEO Pancras Karema, her employers in Lebanon were always good to her.

She mentioned that they were also content creators who often recorded her playing with their kids.

“They are good people and they are also content creators. It was normal when we met and sometimes they recorded me playing with the kids.

She added: “I miss the way I used to treat them. Those kids made me not miss my kids so much. They filled that emptiness that I was feeling when I was there and away from my kids. I just love them so much. To the family, I would love them to come and visit Kenya and meet my kids.

She also explained why she cried while leaving Lebanon for Kenya.

“I cried because I had mixed feelings about meeting my kids after two years and leaving kids I had taken care of for two years who treated me like their parents."

How did you feel while there?

“I felt like I was home. The only difference is that they were paying me. The kids appreciate me for who I am.

“I will go back but I have not set the date when. I will work with them to be with the kids until they are a bit bigger,”.
