American rapper Ja Rule has expressed disappointment after being denied entry into the UK head of his much-publicized tour.

Taking to his Twitter (X App) Ja Rule lamented that he had invested over 73 000 000 in the tour for it to hit a hurdle last minute.

“I’m so devastated I can’t believe the UK won’t let me in I’ve spent a half million dollars in the production of my own money to put this tour together only to be denied entry DAYS before my shows this is not fair to me or my fans these venues are 85% sold and now I can’t come,” Ja Rule said in a tweet.

He went on to fault the UK system that restrict people with a criminal record from getting into their country.

“The UK is one of the few European countries that restricts entry to people with criminal records. In general, you will likely be denied entry if you have been convicted of a crime punishable by 23 months or more under British law or served more than 12 months in prison. This is bullshit,” he added.

However, it has been established that Ja Rule was actually denied entry into the UK because of his criminal record.

The UK usually denies people entry if they have previously been convicted of a criminal offense punishable by at least 12 months imprisonment.

On his part, Ja Rule was released from prison in May 2013 after serving two years on gun and tax evasion charges.

Rule announced his UK tour dubbed “The Sunrise Tour” back in December 2023 and he was scheduled to perform his first show on Friday, March 1, 2024.
